OUR METHODOLOGY

How we picked

Two decades of laundry retail — across Perth showrooms and an Australia-wide online store — shaped this list. Here’s the lens we used.

20+ years of laundry retail

We’ve sold laundry storage from our Perth showrooms since the early 2000s. Every pick here has survived years of in-store and online customer feedback.

Built to last beyond a season

We bias towards rust-resistant aluminium, stainless steel and powder-coated frames over cheap alternatives that need replacing every twelve months.

Verified by Aussie buyers

Every product here has live Judge.me reviews from real Soko & Co customers — not generic imports or paid Amazon placements.

Designed for your space

We rank across tight apartments, busy family homes and stylish living rooms — because one airer never fits every laundry.

FAQ

Questions our customers ask

Pulled straight from the inboxes and showroom conversations of our Perth team.

Twin section vs single — which suits my household?

If you sort laundry (whites/colours, by person, by fabric) — go twin (#1, #2, #5). If you wash everything together — single (#3, #8) is fine.

What capacity does my household need?

Rule of thumb: 25L per person per wash cycle. A single person doing one wash a week needs 30-50L; a family of four needs 80-100L+ split across one or two hampers.

Should the hamper live in the bedroom or the laundry?

In the bedroom or ensuite, almost always. That way clothes go straight from body to hamper without a holding-floor stage. The pull-out cupboard picks (#2, #3) are the exception — they live in the laundry but only because they’re completely hidden.

Do any of these have lids?

The acacia wood (#8), the Oslo bench (#4), and both pull-out picks (#2, #3) have full lids. The Joseph Joseph Tota (#1) has a draw-string closure. The bamboo (#6), capri (#7), knitted (#9) and canguro (#10) are open-top.

How does this pair with the rest of the laundry workflow?

Hamper in the bedroom → basket or trolley to carry to the laundry → drying rack → ironing board → back to the wardrobe. End-to-end Soko & Co.

Can I see these in person?

Yes — every pick is on display at our Myaree, Karrinyup and Carousel WA showrooms.
