OUR METHODOLOGY

How we picked

Two decades of laundry retail — across Perth showrooms and an Australia-wide online store — shaped this list. Here’s the lens we used.

20+ years of laundry retail

We’ve sold laundry storage from our Perth showrooms since the early 2000s. Every pick here has survived years of in-store and online customer feedback.

Built to last beyond a season

We bias towards rust-resistant aluminium, stainless steel and powder-coated frames over cheap alternatives that need replacing every twelve months.

Verified by Aussie buyers

Every product here has live Judge.me reviews from real Soko & Co customers — not generic imports or paid Amazon placements.

Designed for your space

We rank across tight apartments, busy family homes and stylish living rooms — because one airer never fits every laundry.

FAQ

Questions our customers ask

Pulled straight from the inboxes and showroom conversations of our Perth team.

Ceramic, silicone or stainless — which is best?

Ceramic (Sirmione, Hush, Osteto) is the best-looking — disappears into a designer bathroom. Silicone (Looeegee, JJ Flex 360) is the most hygienic — no bristles to harbour bacteria. Stainless steel (JJ Luxe) is the longest-lived. Pick based on whether looks, hygiene or longevity matters most.

How often should I replace a toilet brush head?

Brushes with bristle heads: every 6 months. Silicone heads: every 12-18 months. Ceramic and stainless housings last decades — only the head needs replacing. Joseph Joseph and Brabantia sell official replacement heads.

Are any of these wall-mounted?

Not on this list — all ten are freestanding for placement flexibility. For wall-mounted toilet-brush combos, our wider toilet brushes collection includes a few European wall-mounted options.

What pairs with these for a full matched bathroom set?

Pair the matte-black picks (Rivalta, JJ Flex 360 Luxe Matte Black) with matching matte black soap dispensers and toothbrush holders. The ceramic Sirmione picks pair with our ceramic bathroom accessories range.

Will the ceramic ones chip if knocked?

The ceramic glazes on Sirmione, Hush and Osteto are reactive but reinforced — they survive a cleaner's mop better than you'd expect. They are still ceramic though — keep them away from tiled feet and granite vanities edges. The Brabantia (#3) and stainless steel (#2) are the most knock-resistant.

Can I see these in person?

Yes — every pick is on display at our Myaree, Karrinyup and Carousel WA showrooms. The ceramic finishes especially photograph differently from how they look in real bathrooms.
