How we picked
Two decades of laundry retail — across Perth showrooms and an Australia-wide online store — shaped this list. Here’s the lens we used.
20+ years of laundry retail
We’ve sold laundry storage from our Perth showrooms since the early 2000s. Every pick here has survived years of in-store and online customer feedback.
Built to last beyond a season
We bias towards rust-resistant aluminium, stainless steel and powder-coated frames over cheap alternatives that need replacing every twelve months.
Verified by Aussie buyers
Every product here has live Judge.me reviews from real Soko & Co customers — not generic imports or paid Amazon placements.
Designed for your space
We rank across tight apartments, busy family homes and stylish living rooms — because one airer never fits every laundry.
Questions our customers ask
Pulled straight from the inboxes and showroom conversations of our Perth team.
Pull-out vs pedal bin — which suits my kitchen?
If you're renovating or have a free 60cm sink cupboard: go pull-out (#1). If your kitchen is finished and the bin has to live in the room: pedal bin (#3 or #4). Renters: over-door (#9).
What capacity do I actually need?
Rule of thumb: 10L per person per day if you don't recycle, 5L per person if you do. A four-person household typically needs 30-40L; bin every 2-3 days. If you sort recycling, count the total of both bins together.
Wesco vs Brabantia — which lasts longer?
Both are German-engineered with lifetime warranties on housing. Wesco bins are sold integrated into cabinetry; Brabantia bins are designed as standalone fixtures. We sell both because the right brand depends on whether your bin lives inside or outside the cabinet.
Are the pull-out bins hard to install?
Standard 60cm or 40cm sink cupboards take 30-45 minutes for one person with a drill — the gliders screw into the cupboard side and the bin clips on. If you're replacing an existing bin, even faster. We can recommend a Perth installer if you'd rather have it done.
How does this list pair with kitchen storage?
Most kitchens need both. See our Top 10 Kitchen Storage Solutions guide — the pantry shelves and cutlery trays on that list pair perfectly with these bins for a complete kitchen reset.
Can I see any of these in person?
Yes — every pick is on display at our Myaree, Karrinyup and Carousel WA showrooms. The Wesco pull-out has a working glider on display so you can feel the soft-close action.
